Our hearts are heavy for the disaster caused by Helene in the western part of our state.
First and foremost, our prayers are with them as they continue their recovery efforts. This storm has caused an immediate crisis needing rapid response and catastrophic damage that will require a long-term plan moving forward.
We want to help in a way that is most beneficial to them and easily engaged by those that want to help.
1) We have sent financial resources from our missions’ budget to provide supplies that will be leaving for Black Mountain this week.
2)We are being a hub for disaster relief supplies. We will collect items and get them to Western NC (see details below).
3) We will be preparing to send a team up to serve the needs of the area as soon as we are cleared to do so by local officials through Mission Serve.
